Go Texan Day
Today is Go Texan Day at Mary's school (and many other places around Houston) so Mary and her friends dressed like cowboys and cowgirls (although the boys got more into it than the girls).
Go Texan Day signals the start of the Houston Livestock and Rodeo. Some of you may remember our video from last year's Rodeo. I expect we'll go again this year.

Long lost friend
Mary's friend Aleksa came to play today. Mary and Aleksa attended pre-school together but hadn't seen each other in several years. They were so excited to see each other and acted like they had never been apart. Sully joined in as well and the three of them played together for hours.
Play ball!
John at his first day of Rookie Little League practice. His team is
called the Texas Rangers - but as far as I know W will have no part of
managing or running the team.

Valentine's Day Dance at John's School
John's school held its annual Valentine's Day Dance on Friday. All the boys sat on one side of the room while all the girls sat on the other. The boys then shuffled over to ask the girls to dance. John had quite a dramatic afternoon. He was initially rejected by Olivia but went on to find several other dance partners. In the end, the dance had a happy ending for John.

Birthday Video
John celebrated his 4th birthday at school, where Ms. Martha conducted a wonderful birthday ceremony for John. The next day, all John's friends partied with him at Little Gym. It was a wonderful - but ultimately exhausting - birthday for our big guy.
